3.1 Exposure Standards

An exposure standard has not been established for this product by Worksafe . The following exposure limit exists for cobalt : Cobalt, metal dust and fume (as Co) : TWA 0.05 mg/m3 - Sensitiser.

3.2 Engineering Controls

Ensure adequate ventilation to maintain exposure levels below standards and as low as possible including the use of local and mechanical (general) exhaust ventilation.

Wear a dust respirator or other adequate respiratory protection, rubber or impervious coating gloves, safety goggles and other protective clothing to minimise exposure. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling and before work breaks, eating, drinking, smoking and using toilet facilities.
